About

During my internship at Area23 under IPG Health, I was able to dive right into the health advertising industry. As my first real agency internship, I was put on an incredibly smart and creative team working on a DSE campaign for a launch drug to educate HCPs on the changing landscape of research and treatments for Multiple Sclerosis.

One of the projects that greatly impacted my development was the opportunity to work on HCP DSE Banner ads. My mentors, strategists, and other creatives provided me with an adequate background on MS as a condition, the unmet need patients are facing, and how the treatment can change patients' lives concerning disability accumulation.

Despite effective treatments, HCPs are still seeing disability progression in their patients. With this key insight and a guide of core claims that back up messages with data and scientific research, I asked to deliver static and HTML banner manuscripts, adjusted for various specs. With recommendations from strategy, I transformed messages from the guide to drive HCPs to learn about this unmet need.

After many routes and mark-ups, I was able to deliver on-brief-manuscripts that were approved by the client. I can chalk this up to me being a rockstar copywriter, but I owe this win to the strong support system that offered me constructive feedback, leading me to copy that encompassed the client’s strategy and the MLR requirements.

Being able to learn from and work alongside experienced copywriters has provided me with knowledge I will carry with me throughout my career. I am forever grateful for this summer and for this opportunity that IPG Health gave me.
